Monster escapes!

Sometime during the weekend of March 19 Ð 20 the Rideau River Monster, which appeared last year, departed the Rideau River just south of Adàwe Crossing at Strathcona Park. The monster, also known as a large tree embedded in the low water following the spring runoff, was a popular site for photographers and sunning turtles. IMAGE readers are encouraged to report future sightings.
